Community Involvement
World Fit
World Fit, a U.S. Olympian Association program, is a six week walking program for middle-school students. Through World Fit, athletes adopt a school and partner with educators to teach children about the Olympic and Paralympic values of fair play, perseverance, and respect. Not only do we promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle to children, we encourage students to walk and take part in sports activities.
Olympic Day
Olympic Day is a celebration for youth around the world to observe the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect. The USOC works with organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, etc., to connect them with Olympians, Paralympians, coaches, or hopefuls to attend various events around the country. Athletes and coaches will speak to and interact with the attendees about their experiences and encourage youth to reach for their dreams.
